NPCA HydroServer

Welcome to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority's HydroServer website! The NPCA HydroServer is a key componenent in the Authority's continually developing and local 'Hydrologic Information System' (HIS) for the Niagara Peninsula Watershed. This website enables visitors to discover and access NPCA hydrologic data published as 'web services' on the HydroServer. The server contains both spatial and tabular observation data collected and maintained by the NPCA through its Water Management programs. Visit the 'CUAHSI-HIS' website to discover clients such as 'HydroDesktop' or 'HydroExcel' to access and even start analyzing the data published on this HydroServer. Alternatively you can leverage this service orieinted architecture to build and program access to NPCA hydrologic data in your own applications.
For more information download the NPCA CUAHSI HIS Fact Sheet PDF.

What is CUAHSI HIS?

CUAHSI Hydrologic Information System (HIS)

The data hosted on this server have been published using the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc. (CUAHSI) Hydrologic Information System (HIS). The goals of the CUAHSI Hydrologic Information System (HIS) Project are to unite the nation's water information, to make it universally accessible and useful, and to provide access to the data sources, tools and models that enable the synthesis, visualization and evaluation of the behavior of hydrologic systems. The CUAHSI HIS is a geographically distributed network of hydrologic data sources and functions that are integrated using web services so that they function as a connected whole. The CUAHSI HIS website contains tools for implementing Hydrologic Information Systems.
